Art, Advertising and the Automobile (2018-2019)

Using a combination of original advertisements, large scale reproductions, special ‘guest’ vehicles, and multi-media presentations, this exhibit tells the story of automobile advertising and design, the social trends that shaped the ads, and the talented artists and illustrators who created them.

Guest vehicles include a 1901 Victor Steam Carriage, 1912 Alco 7 Passenger Touring automobile, 1929 Reo Flying Cloud, 1931 Franklin, 1910 Pierce Arrow, and a 1957 Chevrolet Belair (now the youngest automobile in the museum by 25 years).

Special thanks to our sponsors: Bonhams, Hagerty, and Reliable Carriers.

Open until October 31st!
