Ten days, 17 cities, and over 2,000 miles; the 2018 Hemmings Motor News Great Race, presented by Hagerty, is an intense competition for vintage cars, and it is coming to the Seal Cove Auto Museum! In its 35th year, this long-distance, time-speed-endurance rally tests the abilities of 150 racers and their pre-1972 cars. The Seal Cove Auto Museum is one of the stops on the route. The public is invited to visit the Auto Museum to see the cars arrive, meet the race teams, and see our new exhibit Selling Lifestyle and Leisure: Art, Advertising and the Automobile.
A recounting of the journey will be broadcast on the Velocity channel. Check out the 2017 race from Jacksonville, FL to Traverse City, MI.
A Car-B-Que will be held at the museum that evening, in conjunction with the Great Race visit.
