Seal Cove Auto Museum is located in Seal Cove, a village in the Town of Tremont Maine, near Bar Harbor on the spectacular island of Mount Desert. Its beautiful setting looks across Seal Cove Pond to Acadia National Park.

Seal Cove is approximately a three-hour drive from Portland, Maine, and about a one-hour drive from Bangor, Maine. Air service is provided by US Air Express from Boston to Bar Harbor on a daily basis.

To get to the Museum
From Ellsworth (Option 1: 11 miles/ 20 minutes from head of MDI) Take Route 3 from Ellsworth toward Mount Desert Island. Just after the bridge onto Mt. Desert, follow Route 102 toward Southwest Harbor. After driving through the village of Somesville, turn right just past the fire department onto Pretty Marsh Road and drive 5.8 miles. The Seal Cove Auto Museum is a large blue building, set back from the right side of the road, directly across from Seal Cove Pond, at 1414 Tremont Road.

From Ellsworth (Option 2: 10 miles / 25 mintues from the head of MDI) Take Route 3 from Ellsworth toward Mount Desert Island. Just after the bridge onto Mt. Desert, follow Route 102 toward Southwest Harbor. After about 2 miles, turn right onto Indian Point Road. Follow Indian Point Road for about 6 miles until you reach the Tremont Road (Rt 102) and turn right. After about 2.5 miles look for the Seal Cove Auto Museum, a large blue building set back from the right side of the road, directly across from Seal Cove Pond, at 1414 Tremont Road.

From Bar Harbor (15 miles / 30 minutes to Museum) Take the Eagle Lake Road (Rt 233) out of town. After 5.8 miles, turn right onto Sound Drive (Rt 198) and follow this road for 1.4 miles. Take a left at the stoplight. After driving through the village of Somesville, turn right just past the fire department onto Pretty Marsh Road and drive 5.8 miles. The Seal Cove Auto Museum is a large blue building, set back from the right side of the road, directly across from Seal Cove Pond, at 1414 Tremont Road.
